Knitted metal bracelet

This is a bracelet I made today. And the best part, is that this project is finished!
The class taught us  how to use the Dazee Knitting tool designed for wire. We added a focal piece made with copper and and gave the metal a vintage finish using Gilder's Paste.

Love it, great way to continue the vintage look of the center brass piece!!!

Ruby, thank you! Fun to learn something new! I loved making rivets for the focal brass piece. I could "rivet" all day long. Something about using a hammer is very satisfying!

Kathleen, thank you! I purchased spools of antique brass wire, while I was at the show and would like to make a collar using the wire and simply go crazy making a focal piece. Now when will THAT happen?!

This is so pretty. Love the copper piece. Was it already embossed? Can't wait to see it.

Stephanie, I think after this bracelet class (I use the term "class" lightly) I'm going to need a few hammers. Use nippers to cut out a copper shape, which of course, I did not cut out the piece accurately...but after cutting out a shape, hit the brass piece with a ball ping hammer and it makes the impression. I wanted the marks to show up, so when I got back home, I rubbed on the gilder's paste, which I so love, and wish I had all the colors of the metallic. When you come to the September "retreat" let's hammer some stuff! I can see Mike now as I pull out a hammer and start hitting copper, in the house! Felting wool drives him insane!
